LSI IPs begin training in the TH-1H - Thursday, November 20, 2008

Mr. Dave Newell and Mr. Steve Rush, Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training - Helicopter (SUPT-H) Division, are the first LSI instructor pilots to begin training USAF students in the new Bell TH-1H helicopter.  Dave and Steve completed their transition training in this state-of-the-art aircraft in early November and picked up their first students shortly thereafter.  All SUPT-H IPs will eventually be qualified in the TH-1H.  

 
Sunrise Rotary presents prestigious award - Monday, September 22, 2008

Mr. Al Sneckenberger (Assistant Director, Advanced Division) received the highest award of Rotary, the Honorary Harris Fellow Award, for the untold hours he has served and continues to serve for the benefit of the Enterprise community.   Al and Mary Jon represent the finest in American families and we are honored to have them in our LSI family, too.  

 
Order of Saint Michael Presentations - Thursday, May 15, 2008 - Monday, May 19, 2008

Orders of Saint Michael were presented to Mr. Gary Anderson (Director, BWS Division), Ms. Lisa Bailey (Director of Training), Mr. Steve Crouch (Director, Academics Division), Mr. George Small (Commander, Charger Flight, Primary Division), and Mr. Dave VanConant (Director of Quality) during Safety Stand-Down Day ceremonies attended by LSI family members and fellow employees. These senior managers have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity and moral character, display an outstanding degree of professional competence, and serve the US Army Aviation branch with distinction. The legend of Saint Michael defeating the dragon exemplifies the bravery and gallantry associated with the aviation soldier and the boldness and swiftness of aviation on the battlefield. As a brave warrior and protector, Saint Michael is the embodiment of courage and justice and is an appropriate symbol of excellence in Army Aviation.  Gary, Lisa, Steve, George, and Dave represent the very finest in our company and program and are well deserving of the award of the Order of Saint Michael.

 
2008 Woman of the Year - Thursday, April 03, 2008 - Thursday, April 03, 2008

Lear Siegler Services, Inc. Helicopter Overwater Survival Training (HOST) Team is proud to announce the winner of the Fort Rucker 2008 Woman of the Year in the Government Contractor Employee Category, our Director of Training, Ms. Karen Roberts. Ms. Roberts was selected for her dedication to our service men and women; technical expertise in water survival; professional presence; and selfless service. As one of the HOST Team Leaders, Karen would prefer to recognize other LSI team members. TH-67 Million Hour Ceremony - Friday, February 09, 2007 - Friday, March 09, 2007
On 8 February, Mr. Steve Dodge of Charger Flight/Primary Division and his student, WO1 Jacob Rettig, Class #07-05 presented the    -12 for the One Millionth flight hour in the TH-67 Creek helicopter to Major General Virgil L. Packett, Commanding General, US Army Aviation Warfighting Center.  Mr. Dodge was also honored with flying the first student in the TH-67 upon its arrival at Fort Rucker in 1993.  This is another example of LSI's continuing commitment to training the finest Army and Air Force helicopter pilots in the world.
